In Woodbridge, Virginia, we grow more than plants. We grow questions, kindness, and the courage to try again. Welcome to my corner of the galaxy.

The First Sprout

I remember the first time I held a seed in my palm. It was tiny, hard, and dry—like a little stone holding a secret. That was the first tomato plant I ever grew, right here in my backyard in Woodbridge.

I watered it every day. I talked to it. I worried when the leaves looked a little pale. And then… one morning, there it was. A tiny green shoot breaking through the soil, reaching for the light.

That moment taught me everything I know about teaching. Every child is like that seed. They have everything they need inside them. Our job isn't to force them to grow—we just have to give them the right soil, the right light, and the patience to wait.

Now, I bring that same magic into my classroom. We plant seeds together. We watch them grow. And we learn that science isn't just in a book—it's in the dirt under our fingernails.

What's Growing Next?

Every day is a new lesson. Today, we're exploring how plants drink water. Tomorrow, we might be building tiny solar ovens out of pizza boxes!

I believe that when we give children the chance to ask "what if?" and "why?", we're not just teaching them science—we're giving them the tools to build a better world.

Come back soon. There's always something new blooming here.
